“SAVE A LIFE, GROPE YOUR WIFE”
“DON’T LET BREAST CANCER STEAL SECOND BASE”
PINK PI NK NP IN K N;P PI INK~**********~~~
Take a step back. Remember what you are trying to gain support for? A deadly disease. Yep. There’s nothing cute or sexy about that. So STOP trivializing it with these inane taglines. JFC.
Actually, my aunt had breast cancer, and I had a conversation with her about this, and I asked her whether or not she found the whole “I <3 boobies” campaign and all the pink cutesy stuff to be demeaning or anything like that. And she said that a. she really appreciated support, no matter what kind, and b. all the cutesy stuff made her feel like she could be cute and sexy even when she was feeling her worst, and at the end of the day, it made her feel better.
There’s nothing wrong with being offended by it, of course, let’s just remember that it’s all about personal experience and perspective.
